Sharing the Gospel with children in Indonesia

Jovis Bon-Hovis is now airing in Indonesia!  I do hope the children there enjoy the show, it's such a privilege to have our little production seen by so many people around the world.

We really hope the show encourages children to nurture their own relationship with God and gives them lasting and fond memories of good things on TV!

Christian music and videos

Check out the channel,  there have been lots of changes recently and new videos added, including our brand new Kids' songs from season two of 'Jovis Bon-Hovis and the Creation Crew!.

Christian Singers wanted UK, Christian songwriters wanted UK, Christian performers wanted UK.

We are looking for original artists who can perform their own original Christian material in front of camera for a TV pilot shoot of a Christian chat show in Stafford UK, on Sat Oct 18th 2014 at around 2-3pm.

We are looking for quality, complete material. We will simply provide two microphones.

We will consider comedy, rap, songs and instrumental musicians.

This is an unpaid opportunity, but could offer good exposure as the pilot will likely be broadcast on a major Christian TV channel.

Please send FULL details and links to info@Christian-Movies.co.uk

UK unsigned Christian singer songwriters wanted

We are the producers of a Christian chat show called 'Faith in Action', as well as a Christian children's television show called 'Jovis Bon-Hovis and the Creation Crew!' and our chat show features a regular music slot which allows unsigned artists to showcase their talent.  We are looking for only original content, not covers, from singers and rappers who are confident to perform live.

This is not a paid opportunity, but is a chance to be seen TV across the UK on a Christian channel.  You need to be able to come to Stafford under your own steam, to perform in front of our cameras in our studio.

In exceptional circumstances, a high quality video submission may be acceptable provided you own all the rights.

Please contact us at info@christain-movies.co.uk with your information and some examples of your original work.

Feedback on Jovis Bon-Hovis and the Creation Crew

Had such a lovely piece of feedback from a UCB viewer yesterday. She had e-mailed UCB to say thank you for a piece of software they provide, and ended up explaining how useful and supportive the children's TV was to her five year old son. UCB asked her 'What are your son's favourite UCB shows? And below is her reply. What is particularly valuable and encouraging for me about this feedback is that it is made in the context of the world's most popular and successful Christian kids' TV shows. She said:

"Stevie loves Jovis Bon-Hovis. That's his favourite. Stevie loves the one with 'Buck Denver' and those programmes with the flying balloon with the monkey and 2 brothers in it. He and I found 'What's in the Bible' good with the 'Sunday School Lady' very informative at same time as fun. Not sure without checking if these are ucb but my son likes 'Veggie Tales' and 'Super Book' as well. His ultimate favourite is Jovis Bon-Hovis as funny. Each bit is short so keeps him interested. He loves the silly side but important bits to learn ie the main theme. Stevie likes the fact that Jovis often makes mistakes and doesn't do it right and then Booky Worm tells a story and conviction hits him. Or cinviction comes via the mouse. This helps as he sees conviction as helpful and how easy wrong feelings get us in a pickle. Also if this man makes mistakes and learns by them then its a helpful thing to learn by mistakes rather than a condemning and judgmental thing. Its a tool to help spiritual growth. It reminds my son and I of Pinocchio. He needed a conscience to be his guide, we have the holy spirit. Stevie likes God rocks. We love music and traditional musicals in general. This is why Stevie likes God rock's as it's music orientated with a Christian message. I hope this has of use. Sharon."

Nailed it!

How can I get more visitors to my website

Online marketing strategy:
Outline of options and possible outcomes.
Joe Cheetham-Wilkinson, 07528 007872

It's crucial to be aware that product and content are king. It is possible to guarantee visits to a website, converting those visits into sales is an entirely different issue.

In the first instance we need to have complete confidence in the product. If the product is not desirable or saleable then the cost implications of drawing in traffic will outweigh the benefits gained from a low conversion rate.
Conversely, a unique and desirable product on an attractive and communicative web-page will legitimise advertising/website/seo spend.

Things to consider:

  • Pay per click is an effective marketing tool; you only pay for the advertising when an interested party clicks on the ad.
  • Pay per click advertising is easy to get wrong. A strong understanding of the web and how people search is essential, as well as research and communication directly with Google experts. It is easy to pay a high price for clicks from users who were never going to buy. My experience means I can ensure the lowest price per click, meaning more visitors for your money and the most targeted marketing.
  • The user experience is key. Your core messages must be instantly communicated, within the first few seconds a visitor must have gained a strong understanding of your product, encouraging them to explore further.
  • Website visitors watch videos far more readily than ever before, increased network speeds and slower loading times mean video invites visitors into your 'space' in a way still photography doesn't, encouraging them to engage with and fall in love with your product. All major websites use video, however production and display is now accessible to the lower end of the market. A simple videotour, like these two videos below, can greatly enhance the user experience:

  • Social Media cannot be ignored. The old saying 'Most of my business come from referrals' is as true today as it ever was. The 'like' and 'share' options on social media platforms like Facebook bring targeted advertising in front of your key demographic based on comprehensive data analysis of an individual's internet search history and habits. Its' a powerful and effective way of focussing a marketing campaign more accurately than has ever been possible before.
  • Open a Facebook page. (Not to be confused with advertising on Facebook) This is more of an expectation than a powerful marketing tool. Having a Facebook page can act as a blog you can use it to link with your site, and you may find people sharing your links occasionally.
  • Employ a part-time blogger and link-builder. Writing articles on blogs, forums and social media sites which include links to your site will make the site appear more important to search engines like Google, as well as drawing in visitors who click the link directly. This is an effective long-term strategy; it doesn't have the instant results that PPC has, but unlike PPC it's effectiveness continues after the campaign of work and spend is finished. It can take many months for this approach to show results, but it is tried, tested and proven as the most effective long-term approach.
  • Regularly adding to the website itself makes it appear more current and relevant to the search engines resulting in an increase in natural (not paid for) traffic.
  • Optimise your site for the search engines. Paying a professional to look over your site to check and correct/modify every aspect of its 'visibility' is best practice, and is an effective way of securing good results as a long-term strategy. The benefits of work done are also not lost as instantly as switching of a paid for advertising campaign.
  • Every website you create is an opportunity to capture a different audience. For example, a website set up solely to appeal to those who need an outside office space will draw in a different audience to a website set up solely to appeal to mums looking for a hobby room. This kind of website is called a 'satellite site', a basic, simple one-page website hosted on it's own unique url with the purpose of drawing people in via a link to your main site. It's a bit like fishing with a net off a boat, the net being the main site, and then fishing with ten, twenty or a hundred rods from the other side.

Fundamental suggestions:

Update your website with key messages, visual and textual, which are communicated instantly.

Add video to the home page to encourage visitors to engage, explore and fall in love.

Begin a social media campaign and analyse the results weekly, adjusting the campaign accordingly.

Begin a pay-per-click advertising campaign, analyse the results weekly and modify the campaign accordingly.

Add to the website regularly, at least weekly.

Consider creating a number of satellite sites.

Submit articles to blogs and websites regularly on related subjects, linking back to your website.

Optimise your website to make it as visible as possible to the search engines.

Options to move forwards:

One-off:
Ten satellite sites can be added to any of the following options for a one-off payment of £250. These sites will be live for two years, after which there will be a £250 fee if you wish to retain them. Low cost strategy with modest long-term benefits.

Option one:
The tester.

Guaranteed visits. For a one-off investment of £200 I will create a one-month Pay Per Click marketing campaign for your website. I will carefully analyse the data at the end of each week, and modify the campaign accordingly, in order to pay the minimum possible for each click meaning more visitors for the money, whilst achieving the best quality of visitor.

Purpose:

This will give excellent data for analysis without committing to a long-term financial investment, enabling us to strategize future campaigns with our eyes wide open. Visitors are guaranteed, and we will be able to assess the quality and quantity.

Option two:
Tweak and test.

Incorporating option one as part of the plan, you will give me access to the back-office of your website to check it over for any obvious SEO errors or omissions, modifying as necessary, for a total of £300

Option three:
Visual impact

Incorporating options one and two, I will also make some modifications to the front-end of the site, adding some relevant text to the images in the slide-show and clarifying the message for the user on entry for a stronger first impression. £350.

Option four:
Invite them in!

The addition of video will greatly enhance the user experience, strengthen the sites search engine visibility (sites with videos are given priority over sites without) and familiarise the client with the product. Overall the site will appear more professional and credible. I will produce a simple video tour for you by visiting the site and shooting on a high quality Panasonic digital SLR camera in High Definition. In order to keep costs down, I aim to film, edit and upload to the web all within one working day. Working in conjunction with options 1,2 and 3, the total one-off fee would be £450.

Option five:
Beginning to strategize long-term

Incorporating options 2,3 and 4, (tweak and test, visual and text impact plus video) we will embark on a longer term Pay Per Click campaign. Pay Per Click does work, and a commitment to a longer term strategy will mean better data, a more focussed and consistent campaign, maintenance of ongoing and current awareness enabling the build of momentum (Liking on social media, sharing links, improvement in non-paid rankings) .

This can be cancelled at any time, there is no minimum commitment. For an opening investment of £450 followed by monthly payments of £200 I will manage the campaign weekly, checking and testing results, and modifying the campaign accordingly.

Option Six:
Pincer movement.

Incorporating all of the above, with the addition of a social media (Facebook) campaign. Allowing me to target potential visitors based on interests, age, marital status, location and more, in conjunction with all of the above we will have a powerful marketing machine with enormous potential. Again, this can be cancelled at any time, it is completely feasible that you will receive too many enquiries, and the investment can be reduced without any sort of penalty or notice period.

The opening investment would be £650 followed by monthly payments of £400.

Option Seven
Market-Zilla,
an all-out assault on the web.

Incorporating all of the above, with the following additions:

One new satellite site created every week on a unique url linking to the main site. Renewal after 2 years.

Setup and management of a Facebook page, with 100 word article added daily (five days a week)

Setup and management of 'blogger' and 'wordpress' blogs, with a 100 word article added daily (five days a week), linking to the main site.

Weekly 100 word article added to the main website.

The opening investment would be £900 followed by monthly payments of £725.

The above campaigns are examples and therefore flexible; all the elements can be mixed and matched to suit your requirements.

Should we teach Creation in schools?

Should we teach or ban Creation being taught in schools?

The banning of sharing ideas, discussing theories and exploring alternative ways of thinking in a school environment is shameful. Outlawing certain types of spiritual or religious thinking from being expressed by certain types of people in an educational environment is intellectually criminal. In the UK it is IMPOSSIBLE not to be utterly immersed in evolution theory from the very earliest age, and making it illegal to share alternatives in the state school system is a crime against free thought and an attack on what education and learning should stand for at its very heart. It's nothing less cynical than the state manipulation of the human mind, and represents everything which is offensive about how our governments 'govern'.

Click this image for a great article written by a non-creationist, non-evolutionist thinker.

A law against teaching creation is a religious value, very much so. And there is a huge amount of government funding in education and TV to promote those values which are nothing less than the perpetuation of pop-theology, I.e. no God, no spirit...no spirituality. Unless we really believe that we are only taught 'truth' in school, which would put most subjects in serious jeopardy.

I always thought there was a reason we broke school days into classes...teaching on different subjects. If we agree strongly with a government which allows teachers and schools no freedom to teach anything outside what is officially sanctioned by that present government and its own agenda we may as well give up, roll over and deliver our children to the steps of the alter of corporate America and UK. There are plenty of pools outside schools, plenty of books and calculators, plenty of paintbrushes and art classes, churches, that is not the point.

From what we understand of the history and evolution of science, art, sport, philosophy, surely every lesson, including those on evolution and creation should simply begin with 'many people believe...' I am not aware that there are any schools in the UK which teach Creation as scientific fact, the change in law is far more subtly disturbing.

It all sounds so sensible, but it's stinks to high heaven like another high-end manipulation of the people by the super powerful and super rich who want us all to sit in our little boxes, watch TV, pay taxes and die. What better way to achieve that than to kill God in the vulnerable and developing minds of the young, or worse still, to kill any question of God in the minds of young people. It's spiritual murder, and at its worst may even be a conscious decision to raise a generation of unthinking, uneducated, spiritually dead people trapped in their mortal bodies. To what end? The same end as always: to function as a human factory farm which serves and feeds the rich unquestioningly. They've even got us believing that they're doing it for our own good, that the ancient wisdom is stupid and they're helping us into a new and better understanding of the world! AAAARRRGGGHHH! I don't know of any scholar who thought the Genesis account of Creation was an accurate scientific documentation of the creation process, but my goodness it's beautiful, my goodness it's full of poetry, art, wonder and love, and in fact in no way contradicts anything we know about the origins of life or the universe. The danger, and the only danger, is that it makes people think, gives them choices, freedom, options, opens them up to glorious potentials of a spiritual journey with a creative mastermind. Take those things away, by law, by law no less, and you take away the very essence of our freedom as spiritual, thoughtful, independent human beings. And somehow they've convinced us that's what we want!

Kids TV show finished

IT'S DONE! At last, all of my work on season two of the show is complete, I went in to UCB today and did the last of the voice-overs for episodes 12 and 13. Season two really is looking great, I'm so pleased with it. Everybody has worked so hard to make it into the best show it can be, and the work has really paid off. What a brilliant adventure, and what a fantastic thing to have done with such an amazing group of people. My thanks go out to Mark Tennant David Moody Malcolm, Neil Elliot, Thom, Heather and all the many other people who have made the show possible. 26 half hour episodes of unique television for kids. I feel very proud.

New Christian songs

Early responses to my new Christian songs have been good! Thanks to everybody who's watched it. Don't forget to share and comment, it's really appreciated. I know that some of the Christian songs I make are quite 'heavy', in complete contrast to the Christian kids" songs! I think I'm going to attempt something a little more subtle next, not sure if that's really in my nature though!
Here it is if you have't heard it yet:

Problems with administrator right windows 8 Magix movie edit pro

Magix movie edit pro administrator problems. This may seem like an odd thing to put on a page dedicated to Christian songs, music and video but I have occasionally blogged about production methods before so I'll share it with you in case anybody is have the same problems with Magix movie edit pro.  If you're using Magix movie edit pro on wondows 8, you may come accros a frustrating problem where you are told you can'y do certain things like switch on the Dolby sound or get add-ons from the internet because you don't have administrator privileges or rights.  Annoying right?  When you've paid for the software and you're editing your Christian music and Christian songs on your own pc?  Well ere's the thing, when you buy a new pc with windows 8 or upgrade from 7, it doesn't give you administrator rights automatically!  You have to switch it on, and like most other things in the awful and deeply saddening windows 8, it's a faff. But if you know how to do it it's easy.  The first thing you need to do is follow the instructions here to get admin rights: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-User-Account-an-Administrator-in-Windows-8

Very clear instructions here.  Now your problems aren't quite over, as you needed to have admin rights when you installed Magix for it to recognise.  So you'll have to uninstall the entire program properly in your control panel.  Go to programs, 'uninstall a program', scroll down the list to Magix, select it and then right click on it, and select uninstall/change.  Follow the prompts.  Now when you re-install Magix, it will work as it's meant to!  Job done.

Busy day today with several new projects on the go. There are two new videos for Stafford based Christian charity the House of Bread, as well as a new video for another Christian charity called the Street Pastors.  That's on top of my own projects such as creating the new music video for my recent Christian song 'Crystalise my Vision', which I've been meaning to get on to for a couple of weeks now!  They will come, I promise! Stay tuned.

New kids song

Hello brand new day!  A busy weekend for the girls recording voices for our new song, but I must admit little Bella wasn't exactly overjoyed with the project.  She managed a line or two before playing outside and the desire for ice-cream got the better of her!  So most of the vocals will be Betsy and me singing together, with a little Bella cameo.  Coming soon

Support Gospel Mission

We are in the process of increasing production in order to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ more visible on Youtube for children and adults around the world.  Could you support mission work like this?  Perhaps you struggle to share the Word, or can't get out on the streets yourself.

But it's important that you take part in the great commission, perhaps you could consider partnering with us in our ministry, by supporting us in producing more Christian videos.  Please click here to see how you can support us: http://www.christian-movies.co.uk/Support-our-mission/33.htm

Support Christian Mission

What we do is important,

and we need your help.

We are on the way to becoming the premier Christian Youtube channel, and we are ministering to adults and children in hard-to-reach places around the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.

ministry support

We differ from tradition satellite/network television because Youtube video searches respond to real questions that people are actually asking, giving answers to people seeking God all over the world, including your country.

The great commission, to preach the Gospel to the nations is an essential part of our Christian walk, but not everybody is in a position to take on missionary work, produce Christian media or get out on to the streets.

Christian kids TV dog

That's why it's essential that you support the mission work of those on the ground if you are able.

Can you commit a part of your income to people like ourselves who are reaching out and spreading the Word across the globe?

We are not a charity but a small family group with a few volunteer helpers. This means that all the work we do is funded by money from our own pockets, and we need your help. We make all our videos available FOR FREE (of course), so we need the support of other Christians who can get behind what we are doing and empower us to continue and to grow.

Love of Jesus

We are on a journey of faith, and we are increasing production volume and quality as we go, but we can't afford to do it alone. We need partners and sponsors like you.

We are going into production of a number of new projects including creating videos such as 'Who is Jesus?', 'What is the Gospel?" and 'What is the Bible all About?" These key questions have the power to transform lives when answered faithfully and properly by those given the mission.

All of these videos will be completely free online, and available for viewing anywhere there is an internet connection.

BUT WE CAN'T DO IT ALONE, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

Up until now our productions have been made on a shoestring budget and with lots of prayer, but now the Lord is leading us into greater things. In order to reach out with the message, we need to reach out to you.

Please help us continue to make these worthwhile videos which are blessing adults and children around the world.

As a small family group we need your help for the everyday practicalities such as fuel, bills and rent, as well as the technical requirements demanded by increasing quality such as cameras, computers, lighting and sets, funding to train volunteers and assistants and more.

YOUR GENEROUS HELP WILL NOT ONLY ENABLE US TO CONTINUE, BUT ALSO TO GROW, TO REACH MORE PEOPLE AND TO STRENGTHEN THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEOS WE MAKE CARRYING SUCH AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE.

These productions are our calling, and we feel the Lord has told us to reach out, to talk to people like you, to share what we are doing and boldly and confidently ask for help and support.

Our mission is Bible based, non-denominational, built on solid Christian principles and universally accepted Christian truth, with the purpose of leading adults and children to and encouraging them in their walk with Christ.

Please help us continue with a regular monthly gift. We are always available to talk if you need to get in contact.

You can be a regular supporter for £5 a month, and you will receive a personal telephone call thanking you for your support.

If you can support us with £25 a month, we will put your name on the home page of our website as a valued supporter, and we will telephone you to thank you for your help.

If you can support us with £50 a month, you will personally be mentioned in the next video we produce, and we will of course telephone to say thank you!

If you can support us with £100 a month, you will be listed in the credits of all our future productions as a valued supporter.

If you can support us with £500 a month, you will be named in the credits of all future productions as an executive producer.

If you would like to generously support our work, please click HERE to be taken to a page where you can buy a commitment to support our work.

If you would like to make a one-off gift or would like to discuss a larger investment, please contact us HERE.

Thank you so much for joining with us!

Unsigned Christian singers songwriters wanted UK

COME ON OUR NEW WEB SHOW!

We are in the process of beginning a new Christian production for Youtube and I'm looking for unsigned Christian artists to come and play on the show.  Our Christian music on Youtube all has between 10 and 125 thousand hits, and so represents a good opportunity for publicity and getting seen, as well as having a video to use for your own marketing.

You will travel to us in Stafford, UK, and must have a good quality recording of your ORIGINAL work.  We will then make a simple music video with you for use on our show and our channel.  This will in no way oblige you to us, except that you grant us permission to use the song.

Please send your music to us at christianmoviesuk@gmail.com for consideration.

Finding your niche and making money on Youtube

Making money on youtube tutorial 1:  Your niche.

I am qualified to share my knowledge with you as I have spent the last year running and importantly figuring the best practices for creating a successful channel.

If you follow this series of tutorials I guarantee you, you WILL get more views on your channel and make more money. Read carefully, do what I say, follow the instructions and be honest with yourself about your own productions.

This first lesson is about what you should consider before you even set out.

What do you love? What is your niche?

The reason I ask 'What do you love' is that you will not be able to maintain momentum with a cynical approach of how you can make money.

First of all you have to love your subject. It HAS to come from the heart, or it will just wither away and die like a plant with no roots. If it's not something you're passionate about, don't bother.

The second thing you need to consider about your niche is, what special information do you have to share about it? If you love puppets, are yours special and different? If not, make them so before you even start. If you are brilliant at fixing cars, what do you have that nobody else is doing on youtube...high quality close-up photography? Beginners guides? A phenomenal sense of humour that will have people coming back to you again and again? Think about it and plan it first.

Whatever your niche is, do your research and ensure you are not simply repeating what has already been done, or worse still, not even doing it as well.

Thirdly, make sure your niche isn't too narrow. For example, if you are passionate about wine, say Tempranillo, and you want to share you particular love of the history and techniques of production, you could make great videos but your audience will be very limited. By all means maintain that enthusiasm, but consider broadening your channel to cover all wines and alcohol, trends, histories, drinking culture, production methods and more. This way, you will be developing your own knowledge base and growing your reach as you go.

Fourth, look at what other people are doing. Find some videos on similar subjects, search especially for films that have done badly as well as films which have done well. Spend some time discerning the differences and making comparisons; this way you will have a good understanding of what your potential viewers are and are not looking for in a video on your chosen subject. Don't copy, but be inspired!

Fifth, this is tricky, and quite hard to swallow. At first at least, your viewers don't care about you, they are interested in the subject matter. Cater to them, and give them what they are looking for. SERVE your community. Before you become an international mega star, nobody particularly cares about what you had for lunch, what your mates said or whether your back is poorly. Who the hell are you? They are interested in the subject. Not you. Tough that. But there are a million vloggers out there gabbling away into webcams wondering why nobody is interested in their lives. Give your clients the content they are looking for.

If you struggle with this concept, employ a simple trick. In your mind or when you are scripting, avoid using ME or I as much as you possibly can, this will cause you to move the conversation away from yourself and back to the matter at hand.

Subscribe right now so you don't lose this channel, and I will upload more tutorials which will ensure you make the best possible channel you can, and make as much money possible from your Youtube videos. Oh yes, and please click like and share!

How much money will Youtube pay me for my videos?

How much money can you make putting your videos on Youtube?

I thought I'd share this information with you not because I have any profound insight, but because I found this simple information quite difficult to come by when I was first trying to make money with my Youtube videos.

I have been making a modest amount of money successfully for some time now, and I have a clearer picture of how it all averages out.  In one of my previous articles 'How much money can I make with my Youtube videos' I covered the basics correctly, but didn't have enough experience under my belt to see how it all averaged out over time so I may have given some figures which were somewhat optimistic.

I'll give it to you straight, I make about £1 (about $1.60) for every thousand views I get on my channel.  And there you have it.

It is possible to make more or less, depending how much advertisers bid for your space, and crucially whether the ads are relevant or interesting, making it more likely for people to watch or click them.  You'll sometimes see sharp spikes in income when a very cool new ad appears and lots of people watch it.

But that's about the size of it.  And i have heard tell that the cost per click goes down the more popular your video gets.  So you may get 3p per click when it's just getting a few thousand views, but that could go right down when it goes vira.

So to make a reasonable single young man's living of say £20,000 from Youtube you will need to get 20 million hits a year, and that's no mean feat.  Of course, before you get anywhere near that there are other ways of monetising your content which I will cover in later posts.  So it's not as impossible as it sounds...

How to make money on Youtube

How do I make serious money on Youtube, the basics.

This is a simple step-by-step guide to help you get up and running making money from your videos on Youtube.

It's a commonly asked question, so here are they key things you need to know before you start.

Making money on Youtube is initially about monetising your content.  There are other ways once you establish a fan base, but monetisation is what we're going to talk about.

Making money from your videos starts with partnering with Youtube and sharing the revenue generated by advertising placed over or before your videos.  You will either get paid every time somebody clicks on an ad or every time somebody watches a video ad played through before your own video begins.

The amount you earn depends entirely on how much advertisers bid for your ad space, which depends entirely what the competition is for your ad space.  I have been paid as little as 2 pence (about 3 cents) to as much as 8 pence per click/view.  The 8 pence was a one-off, it's usually 3-4 pence.

The first thing you will need to do is become a youtube partner.  You don't need anything special to get started, although there is no guarantee you will be accepted on the partner program.  Many more people are being accepted nowadays, and you shouldn't have a problem.

Star here to verify your channel and scroll to the bottom to learn about monetising: http://www.youtube.com/yt/creators/creator-benefits.html

You will need a Google Asense account.  Google own Youtube, and this is how you will be paid.  Get one here: https://www.google.com/adsense/signup?gsessionid=mQohBcOnQ0fTNPTGdcPeEg

Be careful to make the application properly.  Never try to trick Google or Youtube, they are cleverer than you and it will bite you in the bum later.  Do it properly.  Adsense accounts are often refused.

A crucial step is to connect your Youtube and adsense accounts.  Many people wait months for the money to start appearing, as their content seems to be monetised...the two accounts MUST be connected or you will never see your money! Do it correctly just here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/72866?hl=en

Once you have this all setup, your videos will begin generating revenue.  Once your revenue hits the threshold, which is £60 in the UK, it will be deposited in your bank the following month.  There is no way of lowering the threshold.  It's tricky to hit that every month, without a committed, long-term and considered effort.

Here are several keys to help you run a successful youtube channel:

1: Your niche.  Don't begin a journey into creating content for youtube unless you are passionate about what you are doing.  The novelty will soon where off and the impetus to make a few pennies won't last long!  Do what you love.

2: Planning.  Work out which keywords you are going to try and strategise towards.  You can use this tool here to see what the search volume is like for keywords or phrases you are planning to capture an audience with: https://www.youtube.com/keyword_tool

3: Honesty.  Don't bother trying to trick the search algorithms to capture an audience.  There are a couple of reasons why this is a waste of time.  Firstly, if you don't have enough confidence in the quality of your videos to describe them properly, are they really worth watching?  Secondly, capturing the wrong audience who think they have found what they are looking for will harm your watch time.

4: Accuracy.  Taking the honesty thing further, if you describe your videos accurately then the viewer clicking on the link is more likely to have found what they wanted.  This means they are more likely to watch your film to the end.  Youtube uses 'audience retention' statistics to determine how high up to place your video in the search results.  The more people watch it to the end, the more visible it becomes.

5: Quality.  This is the be all and end all.  Youtube is full of billions of videos with very few views.  Capture your audiences interest immediately with clarity and skill.  Make sure that in those crucial first few senconds they have no doubt that they have found the video they want to watch.

6: Content.  Be original, be unique.  If you are seriously (seriously?) considering starting another minecraft channel, it's going to have to be phenomenal.  It's going to have to offer something about minecraft that nobody knew, presented in a way that is utterly irresistible, entertaining, fun and completely original.  Forget minecraft, the same can be said for ALL new channels.

7: Subscriptions.  Use annotations and end cards to encourage viewers to like and subscribe.  This is essential.  If you have a fan base who already like your stuff, they will be the first to watch it, they'll boost the audience retention stats and pump it up the search listings!

8: Do the Youtube Creator Academy course, and follow every step, even if you think it's dull or not really necessary for you.  It is.  Do it. Do it here: http://creatoracademy.withgoogle.com/

9: Regularity and frequency.  Make sure your subscribers can trust you with regular, frequent high quality content.  Staying active regularly makes your site stand out to the search engines too, including google/youtube itself.

10:  Now there are no get rich quick tips, but this one might just come under 'nifty little secrets' that not many people know about, so here's a Youtube gold nugget for you: Tweak your video titles daily.  It's a drag, but my channel went from 800 views a day to 4,500 a day in two months by doing this, and I had less than fifty very 'niche' videos.

11:  Look at successful channels, see what they're doing and take tips.  Don't be put off by the big boys, aim high.

12. Don't bother hoping for a viral video, if it happens it happens, great, but focus on production of new stuff regularly.

THINK QUALITY, THINK QUANTITY, THINK LONG-TERM STRATEGY.  THINK CONSTANT STRIVING TO IMPROVE AND GET BETTER.  THINK NO COMPROMISE, THINK IF THEY CAN DO IT I CAN DO IT.
